What is it?
This MakerPals STTS751 Temperature Sensor is a low-voltage local digital temperature sensor that can be programmed by user which allows the host controller to select the optimal configuration between sensitivity and conversion times.
Why did you make it?
We often use temperature sensors in our projects and breakout boards are always a good option for utilizing the sensor’s capabilities and modes. In market we found that many breakout boards are based on generic sensors like BMEs, DHTs, and LM35s. Thus, we explored the temperature sensor offering from STMicroelectronics, that is low powered with 2.27V and supports protocols like SMBus and I2C. We engineered the IC and prepared its Breakout Board that supports power-up 5V.
What makes it special?
The Board features the STEMMAQT or QWIIC I2C Connector, enabling seamless integration of the sensor through the I2C Simple Plug-In Protocol. Additionally, the board offers header pins that deliver triggered output, facilitating user-defined interrupt operations for enhanced host functionality. Furthermore, information will be out which can be found on the Documentation page below.
